Alex Lando was raised in Vancouver, having gone to Vancouver College then graduating from UBC with a Bachelors Degree in Business. Alex started HYDRO-PRO in 2000 while still attending college. The Company has grown throughout the years offering an expanded list of services while maintaining a high level of customer service to it’s clientele.

General Manager
Nicole Desjardins has been with HYDRO-PRO for 15 years. Her background is a combination of Bookkeeping and Interior Design. As the first point of contact for many of our clients, Nicole brings excellent project management skills and a warm, professional approach to every interaction. Having been born & raised in Vancouver, Nicole and her family currently live in the South Surrey area.

Our Story
From a Milk Truck to Metro Vancouver’s Power Washing Leader
Founded in 2001 in Vancouver, BC, HYDRO-PRO originally operated under the name Hydro-Pro Power Washing. Equipped with a few secondhand washers and a retired Dairyland milk truck, founder Alex Lando delivered exceptional service the old-fashioned way—through hard work and word-of-mouth.
The demand was immediate, but it quickly became clear that to scale successfully, a more professional business model and brand image would be essential.
By 2004, the company rebranded as Hydro-Pro Property Services to reflect its growing list of services, many of which were added at the direct request of our loyal clients who wanted bundled solutions for exterior maintenance. This client-driven evolution helped define our service niche and paved the way for steady growth.
In 2010, we acquired the coveted 1-800-HYDRO-PRO toll-free number (1-800-493-7677), a key milestone in our marketing evolution. A full rebrand followed, with new fleet vehicles, a new logo, and a refreshed corporate website to support our expansion across BC.
By 2016, we streamlined our painting services under a new division, HP Painting Services, allowing HYDRO-PRO to sharpen its focus on power washing, window cleaning, and other core property maintenance services.
Today, we’re proud to be one of BC’s leading exterior cleaning companies, with a skilled and growing team, a culture of innovation, and a reputation for doing things right.
